DeskEdge 0.1.1 Released

DeskEdge version 0.1.1 has just been released. You can find it on the Linux Utilities page. The main change in version 0.1.1 is an improved setup script which creates a symbolic link to DeskEdge in /usr/bin for easier access. DeskEdge can now be run from anywhere as simply 'DeskEdge'.

I recently purchased a magazine that included a copy of Linux Mint 6. As soon as I booted the live CD, I really liked the OS. I decided to install it on an old hard drive and step into the world of Linux. I've been using Linux a lot now, and have started making software for Linux, so don't be surprised to find Linux software on my website from now on.

Programble Forum

The Programble Forum is up! Today, I installed a PHPBB on my website. I will be making different categories and boards sooner or later, for my different programs and my website. When anyone has any problems or feedback, they can post it there. The forum can be accessed from the navigation bar, beside "Code Snippets".
New Snippets Page

I have now transfered all of my code snippets into a database, and re-wrote the snippets page. The page no longer requires the person viewing it to have JavaScript enabled. (It also didn't work in IE) Now, snippet filtering is done on the server using PHP and MySQL. The filtering isn't insant, but it works better. It was also good practice writing it, because me and my friend are planning on creating a code snippet sharing website.
New Website / Design

The new Programble website is up! It features a new design, new logo, and new content, all made by me! The new site also uses PHP, which I learned recently. Some parts of the site are not done yet, however, so until they are finished, you can visit the old site at programble.webs.com.
